Georgetown Law has worked with ITI for more than a decade through successive technology refreshes across the Law Center. The relationship began with upgrades for in-person classes, continued through the COVID move to remote learning and now supports hybrid teaching in lecture halls and classrooms.
The brief
Georgetown’s teaching spaces include lecture halls, classrooms, auditoriums and moot courtrooms, each with presentation and participation needs. During COVID, ITI helped the Law Center move to a fully remote semester so classes could continue without attendance on campus. Today’s brief is to maintain a hybrid approach throughout the facility, combining teaching in the room with participation from elsewhere.
Crestron DM NVX across the Law Center
Crestron DM NVX distributes video across the Law Center, with equipment delivered since 2020. Crestron 4-Series processors and touch screens control the classroom systems. These installations form part of a longer program that has covered 14 lecture halls, 38 classrooms and common spaces, with room upgrades continuing as teaching needs change.
Biamp Tesira audio for hybrid classrooms
Biamp Tesira processes room audio, with Parle beamtracking ceiling microphones capturing speech in the teaching spaces. The microphones work alongside the Law Center’s lecture capture and conferencing systems. Ahead of the fall 2020 semester, ITI delivered mobile LG displays, Panasonic PTZ cameras and capture interfaces as part of the transition to remote teaching.
Epson laser projection, LG displays and wireless presentation
Epson PowerLite L690U laser projectors and LG commercial displays support room presentation, with projector replacements since 2025. In 2026, further phases added digital signage on LG UH5-series displays and Yealink RoomCast E2 wireless presentation.
The result
Georgetown Law can combine teaching in the room with remote participation across its lecture halls and classrooms. Successive refreshes carried the Law Center from in-person classes through the remote semester to today’s hybrid teaching. The work has also included a support contract with a rapid-response service level for the Law Center’s teaching spaces.
